Christchurch Earthquake
As many of you are aware, 2 days following the Christchurch earthquake we at ODG decided to answer a plea from the Women’s Refuge. On their behalf, we requested basic supplies for the displaced families at midday to go on an RNZAF plane that evening. We sent down 12 boxes packed with essentials for mothers, babies and children.
Your generosity did not stop there. Goods continued to be dropped in to our office in Albany from all over Auckland. A week later we sent down 58 boxes! We were blown away! Again, the following week, we delivered a further 60 boxes to the Women’s Refuge in Christchurch.
On behalf of the Women’s Refuge, a huge thank you. I would also like to thank the guys from Cubicon who provided their truck and driver to deliver the goods to Whenuapai. And thank you to Flying Officer Paget and the RNZAF who organised the goods to be flown from Auckland to Christchurch. Without the support from you all, none of this would have been possible.
We will remain in contact with Women’s Refuge and continue to support them in any way we can.
